Why do you think it was important for Apirana to educate himself like a European? I think he wants to educate himself like a European because he wants to show people that even if you have a different culture does not mean you can’t educate yourself like other cultures and that it's your choice.
What do you think motivated him to fight so hard to keep Maori Culture alive? I think he wanted to represent his culture and show those out there that anybody can do anything if they believe in themselves.
